We all play for something more.
For me I feel a strong connection to my family and what it means to be Irish by playing & striving to perform at my highest level in GAA sports, akin to my granduncle, Mick O'Connell.
This pursuit feels deeply meaningful and drives me to make sacrifices others don’t fully understand.
Rí embodies this pursuit. It’s for anyone who enjoys dedicating themselves to their craft and in doing so, gains a sense of purpose.
We believe that the highest form of mastery is play and Rí is for people who connect with this.
Rí was founded with one purpose:
To empower people to express themselves through play—pushing limits in pursuit of something greater.
In sport, temperature remains one of the last untapped frontiers of human performance. We’re here to change that.

Our Mission
Temperature is the last untapped frontier in sports performance.
Strength has been measured and tracked for a century. Skill has been filmed, analysed, and rebuilt from the ground up. Nutrition has been debated into a science, and recovery is now a calendar appointment. The one variable that sits underneath all of it, the one every culture from Finland to Ireland has intuited for a thousand years, is the one sport has barely started to think about: temperature.
A body in full effort works like an engine. It rarely quits because it runs out of fuel, or because the legs stop turning over. It quits because it overheats. The head sits at the top of the system and heats first. The body registers the signal, protects itself, and the session is over before the work is actually done.
Rí is a series of products built to optimise for temperature, one chapter at a time.
Chapter One
The Sauna Crown
A merino wool tool that keeps the head cool so the body can stay in the heat long enough for real adaptation to happen. Chapter Two is already in the works.

Our Roots
Rí is the Irish word for King and our brand iconises Mick O’Connell, the legendary Kerry footballer.
His skill and poise were what set him apart and he truly played the game for fun. Through his pursuit of play he transformed his sport and raised the bar for the next generation.
We now create products that we believe reflect his standards of performance, poise and play.
Loch Rí is also the name of the middle lake in the Shannon, where at the mouth, our company's base is centred. We’re committed to creating a company that builds, from this region, a best-in-class sports performance brand.
From this base we will crack the temperature frontier in sports giving others the tools to play for more and take their craft to the next frontier.
